Principal's News - Mr. O'Leary

Welcome to Term 3
Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 3! I hope you all had a restful and refreshing break. This term promises to be a joyful and productive one as we continue to grow in faith, learning, and community spirit.

A key highlight for Term 3 is our upcoming school musical, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” proudly presented by students from both St John’s Primary and St John’s College. This production showcases the remarkable talents of our students in acting, singing, dancing, and stage production. The energy and commitment during rehearsals have been outstanding, and we can’t wait to share this joyful experience with you all.

There will be four performances held in the St John’s College Hall:

  • 🎭 Matinees:
    • Monday 28 July at 11:30am
    • Tuesday 29 July at 11:30am
  • 🌙 Evening Performances:
    • Monday 28 July at 6:00pm
    • Tuesday 29 July at 6:00pm

🎟️ Book your evening tickets now via 123Tix:

Matinee sessions are especially suited for local schools and families with younger children, while the evening shows promise a full theatrical experience for the whole community. We warmly invite everyone to attend and celebrate the creativity and collaboration that has gone into this amazing production.

We are also honoured to welcome Bishop Michael McKenna to St John’s Primary this Friday at 2:00pm. His visit is especially meaningful as our Year 6 students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this weekend. Bishop Michael will meet with Year 6.

Finally, all the very best to our Touch Football teams who will be representing our school at the Touch Gala Day this Wednesday. We are proud of your teamwork and sportsmanship, and we hope you enjoy a fun and successful day of competition.

Let us begin Term 3 with enthusiasm and gratitude for the many opportunities ahead. I look forward to seeing many of you at the musical and throughout the term.

Warm regards,
Anthony
